“Amy’s knowledge, presence, and warmth shine through every class.”
— Mary James, ND
Hello, I have over thirty years of study and practice in living a “well life,” learning to live in harmony and alignment with my “True Self.”
Like many of us, my life has had plenty of challenges, each of which came with gifts that contributed to who I am today. My path has included: losing my husband to cancer in my twenties, overcoming anorexia and major depression, a cross-country move, birthing my 2 sons in my 40’s (all naturally and one at home), and attending the end-of-life transition of my first husband and both my parents.
My work experience and training include: 10 years as a massage therapist in Colorado and Hawaii, 2 years in medicinal herb research, certifications as a Wellness Coach, Yoga Teacher, and Personal Trainer; trainings in energy healing: Reiki I, Dr. Sue Morter, and Attunement. I also have studied wholistic nutrition for over 30 years including Ayurveda, Macrobiotics, The Weston Price Foundation, and healing eating disorders. I’ve worked with Outward Bound, Global Fitness Adventures, Sacred Passage, and other outdoor education schools, and taught in public and private schools. I’ve also supported seniors with wellness and general support. My Bachelor’s degree is in cultural Anthropology, and I speak French pretty darn well.
Though I’ve struggled with depression, I’m happily medication-free, and most importantly, I now feel I’m finally embracing “my (work) purpose” fully: to help others live in harmony with their own deepest truth, and to come to trust this Universe as a Loving place, that supports all of us along our journey. That mission includes helping people achieve joyful and healthy lives, from birth to their last days.
In my free time, I love spending time with my family, being in Nature, preparing healthy (and tasty!) foods, supporting regenerative farms, journaling, reading, music, freelance writing, travel, hearing people’s stories, and adventures of all sorts!
